Naked

So I made a long overdue trip to H&M in the city last weekend and boy was it a disappointment. H&M was ridiculously overrated, everybody was raving about how cheap the clothes were and how gorgeous the clothes are but I felt like the clothes were not worth the price at all, in terms of both material and design. It's probably because of the trip to Bandung where I can find the same stuff at half the price. I walked out almost empty handed except for a pair of thigh high socks that would probably come in handy during winter when I'm back in Brisbane.

I did managed to drop by Sephora though, and got myself Urban Decay's Naked palette. I first heard about the palette through watching youtube videos by FrmHeadToToe approximately 2 years ago but at that time Sephora was not even close to opening in KL and when it finally did open I was already in Brisbane. I was standing in front of the sample for quite some time deciding between the two until mum gave her 2 cents saying the original Naked palette looks better.

I did go back home and google both the palette's reviews though (yea after I bought it lol) and a lot of the reviews did say that the original Naked palette compliments the asian yellow base skin tone better with its palette being mostly warm brown neutral tones. Plus, the original palette comes with the highly rated Urban Decay Primer Potion which is so much more useful compared to a lip gloss that comes with the Naked 2 palette. I almost never use lip products so the lip gloss would just be left to rot if I've gotten the second palette.

...now I just need an occasion to use it :>

Besides that, I finally got myself some gym gloves. I used to think that I wouldn't need it but since lately I've been increasing the weights I use it led to a lot of calluses on my hands. Not only my palm has became a heck load rougher, I also couldn't increase the weights further because it hurts when my skin pinch against the bar/handle/grip and my hands would get sweaty after awhile making it harder to hold the weights properly so gloves would help prevent that.

Mum thought it was funny to show me her hand calluses and said she got it from doing too much housework in hopes to make me feel guilty so I would help out more (which I do, excuse me mother :<) but she later confessed that she got it from her tennis days from gripping the racquet (safe to say it never goes away eeeks).

  1. I love the colour of your gym gloves. I've heard very good things about the NAKED palette as raved by beauty bloggers and youtubers.

  2. I hate how overrated it is lo. In UK I buy their stuff because it's consider very cheap already like few pounds only at their sales rack and their sales very WIDE choices.. But here it's damn expensive. :/ In UK I always aim for those sales five pounds only stuff, here ah, slowly wait lo since everyone's gonna snatch everything. :/

I got the second naked 2 because I prefer the glittery type haha. The first one is more matte so it's more natural. :D
