We each sliced a sponge cake and only used the decent ones haha.

Thickening the filling with some corn starch. Damn fail @ this part because at first we added the corn starch without mixing it with water first so it turned out disastrous but we managed to save it xD
No brush to brush the syrup onto the sponge #fail

Sooooo I screwed up when whipping the thickened cream, it turned out to be really rough because I over-beat it but he saved it hiding the fugliness under chocolate xD

After we were done with the cake we headed down to south bank looking for christmas decorations but there were none. The whole street was really quiet as well, guess everybody was at home having their christmas dinner with their family... unlike in KL where people are out drinking and even counting down to christmas (what is the point really). & on Christmas day a lot of shops here are closed for the day, even supermarkets... unlike in Malaysia everything is opened till late night because it's the day when people shop. Can't deny it's an over-commercialised holiday back at home.
Our dinner that night, not turkey but was pretty awesome as well :D

On Christmas day,
Woke up, got dressed for church.
After lunch, made a last minute decision to go to Mount Tamborine with Shin's relatives and their friends from Singapore.
Bushwalking on Christmas! I wonder if my Converse got spoiled here :/

While we were bushwalking back Shin was almost 'attacked' by a leech lol, it went through the fabric of his shoes o.o
